List of Passers: August 20, 2023, Civil Service Exam CSE-PPT Results

The August 2023 Civil Service Exam results or Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) full list of passers and topnotchers (top 10) for professional and subprofessional levels are expected to be released online on or before November 3, 2023, or within seventy-five (75) calendar days after the exam.

A total of 345,293 examinees took the Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) at Professional and Subprofessional levels conducted by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) on 20 August 2023.

Out of the 373,638 individuals who registered for the exam, 92.41% showed up in 95 testing centers nationwide comprised of 304,247 examinees for the CSE-Professional Level, and 41,046 examinees for the Subprofessional Level.

CIVIL SERVICE EXAM COVERAGE

The CSE-PPT covered the following subjects (in English and Filipino):

Professional Level (Prof) -170 items with a time limit of 3 hours and 10 minutes

  • Numerical Ability (number sequence, basic operation, and word problem)
  • Analytical Ability (word analogy and logical reasoning)
  • Verbal Ability (vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, and correct reasoning of thought process)

SubProfessional Level (SubProf) – 165 items; time limit is 2 hours and 40 minutes

  • Numerical Ability (number sequence, basic operation, and word problem)
  • Clerical Ability (filing, spelling)
  • Verbal Ability (vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, and correct reasoning of thought process)

General information items on the following for both levels:

  • Philippine Constitution;
  • Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (R.A. 6713);
  • Peace and Human Rights Issues and Concepts; and
  • Environment Management and Protection

RELEASE OF RESULTS

The CSC is targeting the November 3, 2023 (Friday) release of CSE-PPT results or 75 calendar days after the examination. This was announced through Examination Announcement No. 02, s. 2023.

But with the surge of examinees for this batch of exams, a delay in the release of results is also expected. We advise takers to monitor the announcement of results between October 19 and November 8, 2023, or in 60-80 calendar days.

OCSERGS/VERIFICATION OF RATING

Examinees, both passed and failed, may get their individual test results using the Online Civil Service Examination Result Generation System (OCSERGS), which can also be accessed through the CSC website.

Note: The date of OCSERGS availability will be posted here soon but you may expect approximately 15 days after the posting of the List of Passers.

“We are delighted to share that we have just reached another milestone for the CSC with the remarkable increase in participants taking the CSE-PPT in just one calendar year. In 2023 alone, the CSC successfully conducted the CSE-PPT for a total of 726,900 participants. This number includes both the 381,607 candidates who took the exam in March and our exam takers this August,” expressed CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles.
