Jisoo of BLACKPINK received a Canneseries Rising Star Award

As the first Asian artist to win the Madame Figaro Rising Star Award, Jisoo’s Canneseries 2026 victory is a noteworthy milestone. The award acknowledges her growing influence outside of music and places her among the most promising international artists.

The Madame Figaro Rising Star Award, which honors an individual who has emerged as “a major figure of the industry,” was given to Jisoo on April 23.

On the festival’s official websites, images and videos of Jisoo accepting the prize were posted.

A press release on the festival’s website states that the award seeks to highlight “a promising personality to watch.”

Online fans were quick to congratulate Jisoo on her new professional achievement.

Jisoo is an artist who “embodies a new generation of artists capable of crossing borders and reinventing themselves,” according to Canneseries.

Every year, the Canneseries together television show producers and viewers in a “pop, creative, and resolutely festive atmosphere.”

She added that many people had helped her along the way and that she had learned a lot. She also thanked Madame Figaro, Canneseries, her fans, and other members of BLACKPINK for their unwavering support.

The festival started earlier in the week, but it is expected to end at the end with a number of prizes and recognitions set in various categories.

Recently, Jisoo starred in the Netflix series “Boyfriend on Demand,” which was partially shot in the Philippines. In addition, she has acted in “Snowdrop” and “Newtopia.”

Jisoo’s acting career has continued to grow; most recently, she starred in the Netflix comedy Boyfriend on Demand.

Jisoo portrays Seo Mi-rae in Boyfriend on Demand, a burned-out webtoon producer who, following a series of romantic disappointments, resorts to a virtual reality dating service.

Jisoo is also well-known for her parts in Snowdrop (2021) and Newtopia (2025).

In 2016, she debuted as a member of BLACKPINK.
