Recent “Selfie” photo taken during the pageant preparation in Miami featuring the Israeli beauty queen Doron Matalon and Miss Lebanon Saly Greige who appeared on the said photo smiling together caught the attention of the Lebanese netizen.

The said “Selfie” photo of Miss Doron Matalon and Miss Saly Greige smiling together drew flack in Lebanon for the reason of territorial conflict between them and the Israel country. Some of the Lebanese commenting on the photo uploaded on social media saying their country’s contestant at the Miss Universe pageant should be stripped of her title for consorting with the enemy.

Some of the Lebanese netizen expressed their sentiments demanding to deprive of Greige’s title due to her violation of contacting with a citizen who is an enemy state.

In Instagram account of Greige, on Saturday, January 17, 2015 she has posted some important message to depend herself against criticism from her follow netizen explaining that the photo surfaced on social media was  beyond her knowledge. She said Matalon had pestered her for a picture together and finally photobombed her.

“Since the first day of my arrival to participate to Miss Universe, I was very cautious to avoid being in any photo or communication with Miss Israel, who tried several times to take a photo with me,” she added.

“I was having a photo with Miss Japan, Miss Slovenia, suddenly Miss Israel jumped in and took a selfie, and uploaded it on her social media.”
