Celebrity actress-vlogger Alex Gonzaga proudly showcased her newly enhanced nose, and this action prompted criticism from social media personality Xian Gaza in a recent post. It is remembered that Alex Gonzaga underwent cosmetic enhancement of her nose in December 2023.

Normally, cosmetic procedures are common among showbiz figures to improve their looks and personality appearance. Nevertheless, the Philippines continues to grapple with conflicting perspectives on plastic surgery, cosmetic enhancements, or “retoke.” This is because there are many so-called “Marites” in the country who cannot let a day pass without discussing an issue.

While some individuals embrace such transformations, there are still some people who remain traditional, throwing negativity and opposing these alterations. Despite criticism and negative feedback, Alex Gonzaga remains brave and confident enough to display her altered appearance on her social media posts. She even highlighted her “new nose” in some photos shared on Instagram that have spread across different social media platforms. Most of her fans appreciate her updated look and admire her courage to showcase her surgical enhancement without fear of her bashers in the world of social media.

However, her critic, blogger Xian Gaza, was unimpressed by Alex’s new appearance. It appeared in the article published by PEP that Xian Gaza remarked on her altered nose, stating that it resembled that of a “ladyboy” in Thailand. In a Facebook post, he observed that the noses of ladyboys in Thailand share a similarity, and he opined that Alex, who was already beautiful, had marred her natural beauty.

“‘Pag naglakad-lakad ka dito sa Thailand, mapapansin mo na pare-parehas yung ilong ng mga ladyboy,” he wrote in his Facebook post. He added that Alex is already beautiful but she destroyed it.

Xian emphasized that there’s nothing inherently wrong with cosmetic enhancements, as long as the goal is to enhance beauty.

Meanwhile, despite the criticism, Alex Gonzaga’s recent vlog, a collaborative effort with Cong TV, garnered millions of views in a short period. The vlog documented her visit to the Congpound, the residence of Cong and his wife Viy Cortez.

Fans and supporters of the actress can never afford doing nothing against her critics so, they slammed the post of Xian Gaza.
