“Jiro Manio is now in the hotspot, the talk of the netizens, following the sale of his Gawad Urian trophy. According to the conversation in the actual video, Jiro approached Boss Toyo during Pinoy Pawnstars Ep.301 to sell his trophy, thinking that the money he would receive could help him address his family’s financial needs.

The Gawad Urian trophy holds significant sentimental value for Jiro, as it was the reward for his 2024 “Best Actor” win for his role in the film “Magnifico.” It has come to light that Jiro is currently facing financial difficulties, working only as a volunteer at DOH Bataan Rehabilitation, prompting him to sell the trophy.

During the negotiation, as seen in the video below, Jiro initially quoted ₱500k as the selling price. However, Boss Toyo countered with an offer of ₱50k. In response, Jiro lowered his bid by ₱100k, but Boss Toyo increased his offer slightly to ₱60k. The negotiation eventually settled at ₱75k as the final price, and Jiro sold the trophy to Boss Toyo, closing the deal.

In the comments section, numerous netizens expressed sympathy for Jiro. Many supporters and fans of the lead star-director of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” Coco Martin, echoed these sentiments, urging Coco Martin to help Jiro and give him another chance to work on the Batang Quiapo project.

Netizens have observed Coco Martin’s generosity in the past, noting that he has previously assisted artists facing similar challenges in both “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” and “Batang Quiapo.”

Despite the excitement among fans and supporters of Coco Martin, there has been no statement or response from the actor as of now. This post is to be updated once Coco Martin will give his official statement. As of this writing, like most of the netizen, we are excited to hear from the concern party.
