Quezon COVID-19 Cases Rise to 23

Another two confirmed cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Lucena City Quezon province, with the total number of 23 validated cases.

Based on the bulletin of Quezon Public Information Office (QPIO), on Saturday April 11 at 11 a.m. it showed that there are new cases od COVID-19 at Lucena and Tayabas City.

Also, it was shown in the report that the COVID-19 patient was a 74-year-old female from Tiaong town that had died due to the disease.

However, five had died from SARS-CoV-2, and four from the towns of Unisan, Candelaria, Calauag, and Infanta.

The QPIO reporterd on April 9,  that three of the cases were from Lucena City, Tayabas City, and Sariaya town, however, they was tested negative and had been discharged from the hospitals.

The number of COVID-19 carriers in the province was down to 15, along with the recovery of the three patients and the death of five others.

In Lucena, there has seven cases; Tayabas City, three; Unisan, two; and one each in Sariaya, Candelaria, and Sampaloc.

Gov. Danilo Suarez of Quezon province has ordered a “total lockdown” on April 8 due to rising cases of COVID-19.

The Government has order stricter enforcement that is effective until April 30.
