2 Filipinos in South Korea has Tested Positive for COVID-19

In South Korea, another two Filipinos are tested positive for the 2019 novel coronavirus, said the Department of Foreign Affairs on Thursday

Based on the report from DFA, the two new cases of the COVID-19 is both relatives of the first Filipino that is also tested for the COVID-19 in South Korea.

On Wednesday, the cases were confirmed after they had another test which comes out to be positive in results. Meanwhile, they are placed under quarantine.

As ff now, there is no other information about the cases that were made available.

The first case of a Filipino who is tested for the COVID-19 lives and works at Songdo-dong, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. However, the patient has a travel history to Geneva, Switzerland last March 7-12 before the patient shows symptoms of the disease.

On March 16, the patient arrived in South Korea and that was he confirmed that he is positive for the coronavirus on March 20.

However, the DFA assured the public that the Philippine Embassy in South Korea is coordinating with the Korean Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as local authorities.
