Vice mayor of San Pedro City, Rizal province that was tested positive from COVID-19 disease died on Tuesday (March 31).

Vice Mayor Jolet Delos Santos of Jala-jala town, Rizal is one of several government officials that had reported about the results of their COVID-19 test.

Rizal’s province Governor, Rebecca “Nini” Ynares, had also tested positive for the COVID-19 disease.

The Rizal information officer Tony Mateo, send a text message to the Inquirer confirming that Delos Santos’ was dead, however, did not mention the cause.

The son of Delos Santos’ named Jom, posted on his Facebook account on Tuesday, wrote: “paalam (goodbye) Papa Jolet.”

Based on the previous report of the Vice Mayor’s son, on Mar. 22, he said that his father was “very sick” and was placed under isolation last week. Also, his condition had slightly improved.
