“Enchanted River” in Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur is captivating the interest of both domestic and foreign visitors as it is now considered the primary attracttour of the province. Since the time, it is heard and seen in the internet, tourists all over the world were flocking to see and to experience “what and how” it is being talked about that way. As a matter of fact, officers in charge have proved that many endured the long travel from distance place all over the country just to prove and experience the wonder of Enchanted River.

From its name “Enchanted” this river holds mysteries. The first time you hear would be like many other people thinking about how it was called in such a way that probably you are really pondering too. But once you get there I believed you will be convinced also that the place is truly enchanted by spirits.  According to old folks, stories was told that before the time it was discovered and considered as a tourist destination of the province, there were times that swimming after the dark would not be permitted because the spirits are already guarding the place. But so far, whether the story is true or not, the more it is said to be somewhat scary the more it becomes interesting adventure to our new generation enthusiasts and eager to experience the ever spoken glorious wonder of the river.

Another reason why it is named “Enchanted River” because it is believed that the water is seem to be magically flowing without any source, as well as being so deep and bright color blue so marking as the most beautiful tourists attracttour in the Philippines.
