“Every storyteller’s dream is to have as many people as possible experience their creations, and now because of the kindness of our friends at GMA, we have the special opportunity to bring our Kapamilya stories to a new audience,” ABS-CBN President and CEO Carlo Katigbak stated.

“We hope the Kapusos find joy and inspiration in viewing our Star Cinema movies and we also look forward to a new year of friendship and cooperation within our small industry. Maraming salamat kay (thank you so much to) chairman Gozon, Jimmy, Philip, Joel, Annette, and all our friends at GMA for making this partnership happen, he added.

GMA-7 and ABS-CBN are two of the Philippines’ largest television networks. Both networks have supported the success of a number of celebrities.

The partnership also symbolizes the beginning of a new era for ABS-CBN Films Star Cinema, which was created in 1993. It has one of the most large film libraries in the country, including works that have made many Kapamilyas joyful and motivated.

Star Cinema films will begin airing on GMA Network’s local networks in April. Favorite global blockbusters include “Hello, Love, Goodbye,” which stars Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo, “It Takes a Man and a Woman,” which stars John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo, and “My Ex & Whys,” which stars Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano, among others.

“We are pleased because the significance of our partnership today ushers in possibilities of a far broader set of conversations for potential partnerships and cooperation that will be mutually beneficial not only to ABS-CBN and GMA but more important for the benefit of the public we both serve — the Filipino viewer,” GMA’s president and COO Gilberto Duavit Jr. stated.
