LGBT who have posted in his Facebook page informing the netizen that he is a COVID-19 positive is making round in the online world.

He is Argie Serognas Ligaray alyas “Brando” 18-year-old from Purok Singbenco Brgy. Plaridel, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.

In his post he said,

“Positive po ako Sa Sakit na COVID-19.”
“I have Symptoms of COVID-19
i have dry cough
i have Worst Breathing
and most of all I have a Fever
and now I WANT TO DIE”

His post alarmed the neighborhood and brought panic to the entire barangay prompting authorities headed by Sagay City PNP and CDRRMO Head Wally Afuang to bring Ligaray to the Health Office of Sagay City.

After the medical checkup of the health personnel, it appears that he was not telling the truth and later admitted that he was just joking. He also said he did not know that there is a violation against Republic Act 11469 in posting a joke relating to the COVID-19 pandemic.

He wanted to apologize to all the people in their barangay and to the people in social media who have actually read his post.

Afuang noted that anyone who wanted to post in Facebook, see to it that it hurts no one as you’re accountable of what you’re posting. Think before you click, the Police Officer said.

Ligaray is now under the custody of Sagay City Police Station.
