PAGASA, the state weather bureau, stated that the northeast monsoon and shear line are bringing rain to parts of the country.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration published the most recent weather report in the country on Thursday, March 2, 2023. Amihan and the shear line will have an effect on the weather in the country.

According to PAGASA, the northeast monsoon will affect many areas of Luzon. Throughout Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Aurora, Quezon, and Oriental Mindoro, Amihan will bring cloudy sky and rain.

Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms will also be present across Caraga, Southern Leyte, Davao Oriental, and Southern Leyte as a result of the shear line.

For the rest of Visayas, localized thunderstorms/shearline will provide partly overcast to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Amihan will also bring similar weather conditions, including light rainfall, to the Bicol region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Northern Samar, Palawan, including the Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro, as well as Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
