The former Kapamilya comedian currently working as a Kapuso revealed to experiencing sadness, anxiety, and depression, causing him to seek medical treatment from a specialist.
On an episode of the podcast “Updated with Nelson Canlas,” he discussed a difficult moment in his life.
He found out about his mother’s passing while shooting a show. Regardless of what happened, he stayed professional since he did not want to disrupt the taping because of him.
“Humagulgol lang ako nang humagulgol, siguro mga 15, 20, o 30 minutes yata ‘yon,” he said. “O, Jayson, magte-take na,’ kasi kailangan ako ang comic relief doon. Gawa pa rin kasi trabaho talaga, eh,” he stated.
As his scene was done, Jayson sobbed in the car. Jayson also confessed that he and fellow comedians do not always feel like laughing, and that they, like everyone else, have bad days.
“Mahirap din kasi, eh. Kaya minsan nagkakaroon kami ng… nagkaroon ako ng depression, anxiety,” he explained. He even went so far as to visit a psychiatrist.
