According to the state weather bureau PAGASA, good weather will continue throughout the country, with the possibility of rain.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration issued the most recent weather report in the country on Friday (February 24, 2023). Rain is forecast in portions of the country due to the northeast monsoon.
According to PAGASA, the Northeast Monsoon will strike Luzon. Cloudy skies with rain are expected across Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Ifugao.
Across Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan, including the Kalayaan Islands, localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy sky with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Occidental Mindoro, Metro Manila, and the rest of Luzon will experience similar weather conditions as a result of Amihan.
Throughout the weekend, the weather will be mostly sunny across the country.
The weather agency has also issued an advisory to fishermen about heavy waves in several coastal areas around northern Luzon owing to the northeast monsoon. In addition, a gale warning has been issued in Batanes, Cagayan, which includes the Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and La Union.
