According to the state weather bureau, PAGASA, the northeast monsoon will bring rain to several areas throughout the country.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration provided the most recent weather update in the country on Thursday (February 23, 2023). The northeast monsoon will have an effect on the weather in the country.
According to PAGASA, the northeast monsoon will strike Luzon. Amihan will bring cloudy skies and rain to Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, and Aurora.
Over Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao, localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered rain showers or thunderstorms. Due to amihan, same weather conditions are expected throughout Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
People in the affected areas were advised by the weather agency to take preparations against flash floods or landslides caused by moderate to heavy rainfall and severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, coastal water conditions will be moderate to rough throughout Luzon, the eastern sections of Visayas, and Mindanao. The rest of the country will have light to moderate sea conditions.
