At 6 a.m., Severe Tropical Storm Paeng (international name: Nalgae) made landfall in Buenavista, Quezon on Saturday morning, resulting in flash floods and large waves in many places.

According to Peewee Bacuo, the supply of electricity was cut off in several areas of the province by 4 a.m.

Because of the strong winds and rain, numerous trees fell, destroying some houses in the area. The highway was also interrupted by fallen trees.

A few parts of the province experienced flooding, including Lopez, Calauag, Gumaca, and the Bondoc Peninsula.

The shores of Calauag, Lopez, Gumaca, Plaridel, and Atimonan, as well as the coast of Caluag and parts of eastern Quezon, were slashed by huge waves.

Meanwhile, in Tayabas City, Quezon, a vehicle was damaged when the roof of a store collapsed on it.

PAGASA anticipates heavy to torrential rains over Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Bicol Region, Marinduque, Romblon, Mindoro Provinces, and the northern portion of Palawan, including Calamian and Cuyo Islands, on Saturday.
