The Typhon Paeng landed in the country and caused uncomfortable situation to different places in the Philippines especially in Mindanao areas. according to the authorities, there are many of the structural damages and loss of life while some are still missing as of this writing.

This was clarified by the head of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM)’s Rapid Emergency Action on Disaster Incident (READI), Atty. Nagui Sinarimbo.

The victims were residents of the towns of Datu Blah Sinsuat, Upi, and Datu Odin Sinsuat, and they assumed their deaths had been caused by the breakdown of the land where they had been dumped and were swept away by the flood’s strong current.

Atty. Sinarimbo is concerned that the number of those who passed away will rise despite the fact that there remain villages where the READI-BARMM rescue unit has not responded, which includes those who are missing.

According to the report, 11 municipalities are affected, including Cotabato, where 90% of the areas are under water.

According to the official report, Brgy. Kusiong is part of the search and rescue operations because it has been declared ‘washed out’ or buried by land.

As of now, the READI-BARMM search and rescue operation is ongoing with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), PNP, and PMA personnel in the flood-affected areas.
