During a private listening party, James Reid confessed that one of the songs on his new album is about his ex-girlfriend, actress Nadine Lustre.

Reid had a private listening party on social media immediately before the release of his new album, “lovescene.”

“This next one is called ‘Always Been You.’ Oh, man, am I really going to explain all these songs?” Reid asked of one of the tunes. “I composed this one about Nadine.”

“Oh babe, longing what I never had,” the song’s lyrics continue. You’ve always been the one. When everyone starts dancing, I always end up dancing with you. I’ll be dancing with you. Oh, sweetie, I want my time back. I’d like to spend it with you. I can’t conceal it when I know it’s real since it’s always been you.”

Reid and Lustre split in 2020, yet they have continued to collaborate.

Lustre stated in an interview in March that she no longer wants to be part of a love team.

Lustre is presently dating French-Filipino businessman Christophe Barious. Reid, on the other hand, confirmed that he is still single.
