The Historical City of Vigan was severely damaged because of the 7.3 Magnitude earthquake that occurred on July 27, 2022.

Vigan is Asia’s greatest example of a planned Spanish colonial town. Its architecture represents the fusion of cultural aspects from other parts of the Philippines, China, and Europe, resulting in a culture and townscape unique in East and South-east Asia.
