Liza Soberano, an actress, stated that James Reid contacted her and her boyfriend, Enrique Gil, the year before.

James and his staff are now in charge of Liza. This happened after she chose not to extend her contract with Ogie Diaz, her manager of 11 years.

According to a later interview published on the PEP report, the actress and Ogie had a peaceful dialogue regarding their separation.

She said that last year, James approached her and Enrique.

“He reached out to us September last year. When I say us, Enrique and I. He messaged Enrique kasi sila talaga yung mag-best friend before. Quen didn’t reply to him,” Liza Soberano revealed.

She said that she had been using Quen’s phone at the same time when James requested an appointment with them.

“Eventually, we got a Zoom call with James and Jeff (Jeff Oh, James’s business partner) and Quen and I; and they are expressing their intentions of possibilities of working with us, maybe on the business side or career management side,” Liza explained.

Her contract with Star Magic was due to end, and her deal with Ogie Diaz would expire a few months later, according to the actress.

Enrique Gil is still under contract with ABS-CBN, hence he is unable to accept other contract.

“I was the one who pursued it, I was the one who carry on with the conversation,” the actress stated.

The actress also revealed that she will pursue a music career after signing a contract with James Reid’s music label, Careless Music.
