Former Model Avi Siwa Arrested for Selling COVID-19 Test kits Without License

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Friday arrested a former model Avi Siwa who was allegedly selling COVID-19 test kits without a license.

NBI International Operations Division, Chief Ronald Aguto, reminded the public that there is a prohibition in the selling of test kits online.

Besides selling test kits without a license, Siwa is also facing an Estafa case for allegedly failing to deliver orders of rice she had sold.

She denied all allegations, saying she will face head-on charges filed against her.

“I will definitely fight,” Siwa said.

Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reiterated to all licensed importers and distributors that COVID-19 test kits are strictly for medical professional use and not intended for personal use.

The said product should be acquired by the general public through a prescription from a licensed physician, hospital, or pharmacy.

Moreover, Avi Siwa, Filipino-Chinese controversial model, TV personality, and entrepreneur in the Philippines.
