JUST IN: 2 New COVID-19 Cases Recorded in Negros Occidental, Confirmed by the Provincial Capitol

NEGROS OCCIDENTAL – a person in authority from Provincial Capitol confirmed two (2) new cases of COVID-19 in the province of Negros Occidental.

The Negros Occidental is one of the provinces in the country declared Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) by Governor Eugenio “Bong” Lacson which is set to last until April 30, 2020, if not lifted else extended.

Recently, a sweeper flight of repatriated Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) arrived in the province but report said passengers are coming from Cebu City via Escalante.

The report published by the DNX News stating that the two (2) from the sweeper flight contracted of COVID-19 as tested result confirmed by official from the Negros Occidental Capitol.

According to the report, Provincial Administrator Attorney Rayfrando Diaz said, the new COVID-19 cases in the province of Negros Occidental are Patient #3 and #4 are now isolated in E.B. Magalona quarantine facility. Report said, the two (2) patients are showing no symptoms.

Provincial Health Officer Ernell Tumimbang identified the two (2) patients place of residence. One is a resident from Silay City and the other one is a resident from the town of Candoni. The report also said that they have no contact yet with their families since last April 14 on the time of their arrival in the province.

Update of similar report published by the Negros Daily Bulletin Facebook Page stating that the that the Neg. Occ. Patient #3 is a 38-year-old male who has travel history from Netherlands arrived in the country on March 24, with provincial address in Silay City. And the Neg. Occ. Patient #4 is a 50-year-old male with travel history from Finland and arrived in the Philippines on March 17, 2020 and his provincial address is from the municipality of Candoni.
