Former senator Bongbong Marcos had himself tested for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), this was after he arrived home from Spain feeling “unwell,” His sister Senator Imee Marcos announced on Thursday.

Senator Imee Marcos told the reporters via text message, “He came back (from Spain) unwell. Finally got a test 2 nights ago, getting better at home,”

Reporters ask Imee if the test she was referring to was for coronavirus disease, however, Marcos answered in the affirmative.

Based on some reports online, the former senator, and son of late dictator Ferdinand Marcos was confined in a hospital after returning from Spain. In some reports, he tested positive for the disease.

Imee said “Wala pang result (No result yet). Mom (and I are) ok)” she was referring to their mother the former first lady Imelda Marcos.

Recalling that Spain is one of the high cases for coronavirus disease in Europe. They had been recorded hundreds of deaths in just a 24-hour period, a country that was second to Italy.
