The case of coronavirus in the Philippines continue increasing in number with 803 total patients confirmed cases, 54 reported deaths and 31 recovered as of writing.

Reportedly, the Department of Health (DOH) recorded the youngest patient of coronavirus in the country at the age of one (1) year old and nine months in the province of Oriental Mindoro.

Governor Humerlito “Bonz” Dolor confirmed the report by posting official public notice on his Facebook page dated March 27, 2020.

Based on the record of the City Health Office (CHO) there are other seven (7) Person Under Investigation (PUI) in the province but the governor in his post was so thankful of their negative result.

However, the Patient #14, one (1) year old and nine (9) months from Barangay Ilaya, Calapan City tested positive.

The child has travel history to Alabang, Muntinlupa City since March 5 -12, 2020.

Governor Bonz Dolor recommended to the Department of Health (DOH) to reevaluate the result by confirmatory test since the patient is very young.

According to the DOH, the patient is the youngest confirmed positive of coronavirus in the province and in the country.

The netizens in the online world expressed sympathy due to the situation that adult patients of coronavirus have no family members allowed to visit while recovering in the hospital which is the same thing to happen to the baby COVID-19 patient.

Like the family member of the baby patient, everyone in the social media hope and pray for the child’s recovery soon.
