Christmas vacation is refreshing among students and employees. Here’s the good news!

December 26, 2017 and January 2, 2018 is consider as a non- working holiday to give employees and students a longer break, according to Memorandum Circular 37 signed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea on Wednesday. Malacañang suspended all works in government and non-government offices.

The Proclamation Nos. 50 and 269 by President Duterte declared December 25, 2017 and January 1, 2018 as Regular holidays, so all works government and non-government are hereby suspended on December 26, 2017 and January 2, 2018 as the memorandum stated.

But to those agencies regarding “delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/ response to disasters and calamities, and /or other vital services shall continue and render needed services.”

Malacañang stated that suspension of work in other branches of government in independent commissions or bodies, and private companies depends on their management.
