The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) comes up with the recommendation to install a side car on motorcycle so that their wives can ride with them.

The recommendation was confirmed by DILG Secretary Eduardo Año for the good reason that this is in order to allow them to have their wives ride with them and to avoid passengers to back ride on motorcycle.

In addition, Año said that once they have installed side car to their motorcycle, this idea also helps them to observe physical distancing.

“Lagyan na lang ng sidecar ang motor puwede na niya isama ang kaniyang misis, ganun nalang po solution habang andiyan pa ang virus,”

Año also suggested to allowed motorcycles with side cars to travel on the prescribed route for them to pass by.

This is in connection to the violation of the “pag-angkas” o “angkas” which is strictly prohibited due to quarantine protocol and in observance to physical distancing.

The recommendation of Año earned massive reactions from the netizens opposing the idea of installing side car to their motorcycle.
