Coronavirus cases in the Philippines continue increase in number of confirmed positive patients in spite of the effort to contain the spread of the disease.
Just of today, about 12 noon on Saturday, March 21, 2020, Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire announces the new 32 cases diagnosed with coronavirus disease making the total of 262 has been recorded by the Department of Health (DOH).
Vergeire told dzMM reporter saying, “Sa ngayon, 262 ang confirmed positive cases. Ang nadagdag po sa araw na ito 32 ang bago,” she noted.
The DOH has yet to give further information and details about the new patients infected with COVID-19 pandemic disease.
DOH also reported that there 18 people killed in the country due to the coronavirus infectious disease.
The World Health Organization (WHO) records 276,462 coronavirus cases in the world and death toll around 11,417. Italy has the highest fatality rate with 4,032 deaths, followed by China with 3,255 deaths as of writing.
