Health authorities in Sri Lanka confirmed the record of coronavirus for the first time in their country.

The killer virus known as “novel coronavirus” is considered epidemic disease in China today causing millions of people all over the world panic.

Reportedly, novel coronavirus originated in Wuhan City in China and continue spreading not only in Asia like Japan and Nepal but also the same case found in United States and France.

Based on the health record, most of the cases of coronavirus in every country, patients are coming from China since December 2019 up to January 2020. But health authorities were taking precautionary measure to isolate every victim in order to prevent infection to other people.

Recently, the government of Sri Lanka was alarmed after finding the signs and symptoms of Coronavirus in their country. Different laboratory testing was taking place to insure the result until health authorities confirmed coronavirus was in their country.

According to Sri Lanka Health Ministry’s Chief Epidemiologist Dr. Sudath Samaraweera, the virus career in their country is a 40-year-old woman who made a visit to Hubei province in China and returned to Sri Lanka last week. The old woman had noticed of a fever. She was confined to the Infectious Disease Hospital in Sri Lanka as symptoms of contagious diseases was found on her.

Due to this incident, Sri Lanka is now one of the country that confirmed coronavirus in the place.
