Filipina woman resides in China strongly contradicts speculations that there are people in China eating bat soup and randomly collapse in the public.

Recently, there are videos and photos shared in social media about the allegations that there are people in Wuhan City infected of the novel coronavirus because they’re eating bat soup and collapse while walking in the street.

In contradiction to the speculation claiming that people infected of novel coronavirus because they are eating bat soup, Nellan Banda who has been living in Wuhan China, for four (4) long year said there is no truth to the photos and videos surfaced online, claiming that Chinese people eating bat soup randomly collapsing in front of the public. She also said she did not see Chinese people eating bat soup.

In an interview with Jessica Soho, Banda warned the netizens against fake photos and videos linking to the novel coronavirus that went viral online.

“Ang social media is maraming mga fake na video na ginagawa para mas lalong pumanic ‘yung mga tao,” Banda said.

“At saka yung mga tao dito sa Wuhan, hindi po kumakain ng paniki. ‘Yung mga paniki na nakikita niyo na soup, my goodness, ilang taon na po ako dito sa China, hindi po ako nakakakita ng ganyan na soup,” she added.

Nellan Banda learned traditions and customs with Chinese people in 4-year time. She assured to all Filipinos and her relatives in China that Chinese government is doing best they can do to prevent spreading of virus. She also said that life in Wuhan is still normal despite government lock down of the city to control the outbreak since it began on December 31, 2019.

International report said, Wuhan villagers now prefers to remain on their respective houses except only when they buy foods and other necessities.
