Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology or PHIVOLCS announces magnitude 7.2 earthquake hit Davao Occidental early morning at around 4:23 a.m. of today, December 10, 2019.
PHIVOLCS recorded the epicenter at around 53 kilometers Southwest of Sarangani with the depth of 57 kilometers tectonic earthquake.

Authorities said in a report that there is no damages were listed as of the moment, Harry Camoro of Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) said.
The earthquake did not affect to electricity and other operation in the areas affected by the said earthquake.
Aftershocks were felt and registered as strongest as magnitude 4.1 as per record listed at around 4:54 a.m. with the epicenter plotted 64 km away southwest of Sarangani along 27 kilometers depth but PHIVOLCS added that they’re expecting more after that.
Authorities also warns the people for possible tsunami following after the incident.
