Actor/Producer Steven Seagal visits Philippines last October 9, 2017. Purpose on his visit is to support the advocacy of the Philippine-based Miss Earth beauty pageant and to scout good locations for his next film.

He was welcomed by his friend, former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis “Chavit” Singson, who accompanied him to the welcome party hosted by the Miss Earth Organization for the international delegates of the Miss Earth pageant.

“I’m a big fan of the government and I think Duterte is very good President. He has been instrumental and making the Philippines a safer place. I think what his done is very good, in terms of trying to control back for the people. I don’t feel like this is the dangerous place and I think a place up incoming.”
