According to the state weather bureau, PAGASA, the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies and rain to areas of Luzon and Visayas.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration issued the most recent weather report in the country on Wednesday (March 1, 2023). The northeast monsoon will keep having an effect on the country’s weather.
According to PAGASA, the northeast monsoon, or amihan, will strike Luzon and Visayas.
Throughout Eastern Visayas, Sorsogon, and Masbate, the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy weather with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
Amihan will also bring overcast skies and rainfall to the Bicol Region, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, Quezon, Marinduque, and Oriental Mindoro.
Across Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, the monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light showers. The remaining sections of the country will experience similar weather conditions as a result of the localized thunderstorms.
During severe thunderstorms, the weather agency has issued a warning about the possibility of flash floods or landslides.
