The northeast monsoon and localized thunderstorms will bring rain to parts of the country, according to the state weather bureau PAGASA.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration issued the most recent weather information on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. The northeast monsoon and isolated thunderstorms will have an impact on the country’s weather.

According to PAGASA, the northeast monsoon will strike numerous sections of Luzon, while localized thunderstorms will strike the rest of the country.

“Muling umiiiral ang northeast monsoon o hanging amihan. Ito nga po ay nakaka-apekto sa malaking bahagi ng Luzon para sa araw na ito kaya asahan natin sa mga susunod na araw, lalakas muli itong northeast monsoon kaya posibleng makakaramdam tayo muli ng malalamig na panahon,” Pagasa weather specialist Obet Badrina stated.

Over the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Aurora, and Quezon, the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy weather conditions with rains.

Over Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon, as well as Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, Amihan will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather with light rainfall.

The Weather agency has issued a warning to the public about the possibility of flash floods or landslides caused by moderate to heavy rainfall and strong thunderstorms.
