The northeast monsoon and trough of a low-pressure area will bring rain to portions of the country, according to the state weather bureau PAGASA.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration issued the most recent weather report in the country on Wednesday (February 15, 2023). The northeast monsoon and the LPA trough will have an effect on the country’s weather.

The trough of a Low-Pressure Area will bring overcast skies, scattered rain, and thunderstorms to Visayas and Mindanao, according to PAGASA. The amihan will have an effect on Luzon.

A low-pressure trough will bring overcast weather with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.

The LPA has a low chance of becoming a tropical cyclone and is currently outside of the Philippine area of responsibility.

The northeast monsoon will bring similar weather to Cagayan Valley, Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Abra, Kalinga, Aurora, Quezon, and Bicol Region.

Amihan will also bring partly overcast to cloudy skies with light rain.

Northern Luzon’s coastal water conditions will be moderate to rough. The seas will be moderate to rough throughout Visayas and the rest of Luzon. Mindanao will experience slight to moderate sea conditions.

A gale warning has been issued over Batanes, Babuyan Island, Cagayan, Isabela, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan.
