According to PAGASA, the state weather bureau, amihan, and localized thunderstorms will bring rain to portions of the country.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration published the most recent weather update in the country on Friday (February 10, 2023). The northeast monsoon and isolated thunderstorms will have an impact on the country’s weather.

According to PAGASA, the northeast monsoon, or amihan, will affect Luzon. The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies and rain to Bicol and Quezon.

In Visayas, Mindanao, and Southern Palawan, localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. The weather will be similar across all of Palawan, including the Kalayaan Islands and Occidental Mindoro.

The same weather conditions will be brought to Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon by Amihan.

The weather agency has also issued a warning to the public about the possibility of flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rainfall and severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, coastal water conditions will be moderate to rough over extreme Northern Luzon and the country’s eastern region. The rest of the country will have slight to moderate sea conditions.

According to PAGASA, tropical cyclones are unlikely to form inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility in the next three days.
