A low-pressure area will bring overcast skies and sporadic rain showers to parts of the country, according to the state weather agency PAGASA.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration published the most recent weather report for the nation on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. The weather will be impacted by Amihan and the low-pressure area.

The LPA was last seen 280 kilometers southeast of Davao City, according to PAGASA. It has a remote possibility of intensifying into a tropical cyclone. Several regions of the nation will be impacted by the northeast monsoon.

“Sa ngayon batay sa datos natin, mallit ang tiyansa na ito ay maging bagyo. Mas nakikita pa nga natin ang posibilidad na ito may malusaw sa mga susunod na araw,” weather specialist stated.

Over Palawan, the Bicol Region, Visayas, and Mindanao, the low-pressure area will bring cloudy weather conditions with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.

Similar weather conditions will be present in the Cagayan Valley, Apayao, and Ilocos Norte due to the northeast monsoon.

Over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, the amihan will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather with light rains.

Coastal water conditions will be moderate to rough over Northern Luzon, as well as the eastern portions of Central, Southern, and the Visayas islands, and the rest of Luzon. There will be light to moderate sea conditions around Mindanao.

“Fishing boats and other small seacraft are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves,” Badrina contiued.
