After having urgent dental surgery, Kiefer Ravena won’t be able to play for Gilas Pilipinas in the upcoming round of the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers.

Filipino basketball player Kiefer Isaac Crisologo Ravena, who currently plays for Shiga Lakes of the Japanese B.League, previously competed for the Ateneo Blue Eagles of the UAAP. He plays as a point guard.

The Shiga Lakes guard announced via Instagram that he will not be able to participate in the upcoming Gilas games due to an emergency procedure he needed to undergo.

On November 10 and 13, Gilas games will take place in Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

Injuries have caused Ravena, June Mar Fajardo of San Miguel, Chris Newsome of Meralco, and Carl Tamayo of the University of the Philippines to wiyhdraw from the game.

There are now only 16 players left in the national team pool. Gilas is scheduled to go to Jordan on Monday night.
