Atty. Deniece Cornejo’s primary attorney, Ferdinand Topacio, has essentially resigned and no longer intends to participate in the proceedings.
The lawyer indicated in a statement routed through ABS-CBN reporter Niko Baua that there has been a difference in the handling of the case, which was brought about by certain people.
Given this, he stated that he could not continue to serve “with good conscience and ethics.”
In a statement, he stated that he is distancing himself from the prosecution of Deniece’s rap3 case against Vhong Navarro.
He further stated that he had previously represented Deniece at the request of the family, particularly Rod Cornejo, a close friend.
Now, he claims that certain people are attempting to steer the case down a route that he does not intend to follow.
Vhong is an ABS-CBN Entertainment Groups TV host, comedian, actor, dancer, singer, and judge. In the Philippines, he was a member of the dancing group the Streetboys. Cristy Fermin had another response to the news that Vhong Navarro’s appeal to stay in NBI detention was denied by the court.
Vhong is scheduled to be transported to Taguig City prison as a result of the aforementioned ruling. In the most recent “Showbiz Now Na! ” episode, Cristy speculated that among the actor’s and his camp’s concerns are rumored events within city jails that Vhong may encounter.

Masabi ko lang na hindi lang sa Pilipinas nangyayari ang ganito. Mayroon nga na kaso, yung teacher na babae minolestiya yung lalakeng studyante nya na minor. Natuklasan siyempre, ang parusa 4 months imprisonement lang… Pero imagine mo kung yung teacher ay lalaki…
