Jin will be the second member of BTS to make an official solo debut.

According to reports, BigHit Music has confirmed that the singer’s single will be released at the end of October. Jin personally revealed that he will make his solo debut during BTS’s weekend concert in Busan, South Korea.

According to another report, Jin’s upcoming song was given to him by the English rock band Coldplay, with whom BTS previously collaborated on the hit song “My Universe.”

BTS and Coldplay have yet to confirm the news.

Jin is making his solo debut nine years after BigHit Music launched BTS. On Soundcloud, he previously released unofficial and self-penned singles such as “Abyss” and “Tonight.”

He also provided the vocals for the solo songs “Awake,” “Epiphany,” and “Moon,” which appear on BTS’ albums “Wings,” “Love Yourself: Answer,” and “Map of the Soul 7.”

Jin will enlist in the military following his promotions, the agency announced on Monday. The other members are said to enlist based on their own plans.

BTS is expected to reunite as a group in 2025.
