VIDEO: Efren “Bata” Reyes Speaks Up After Being Arrested at Billiard Hall Where He’s Playing

After authorities searched the billiards room where he was playing, the greatest pool player of all time made a statement.

Reyes was the main guest during the launch of the aforementioned  billiard hall,  played against Charlie “Lapuk” Rasco 

According to Police Lieutenant Colonel John Eric Antonio and the officer in charge of Sto. Tomas City PNP, there was a violation of social distance in the pool hall.

The Reyes vs. Rasco game involved illegal bets, it was also discovered. Police were successful in retrieving P14,000 in play money.

The billiards legend was brought to the police station, where he was spoken to before being sent home, the police said.

According to reports, Efren “Bata” Reyes was unaware that bets were being made on their game.

This is not the first time police officers has raided a game of the legendary billiards.

Reyes was allegedly “arrested” in March 2021 for reportedly playing pool without an LGU permit.

Then the authorities claimed they had just warned Reyes and sent him home, not really arrested him.
