This remark by sparkle artist Mariel Pamintuan sparked complaints over the event’s food.

The GMA Thanksgiving Gala’s biggest talents gathered at Shangri-La The Fort in Bonifacio Global City last Saturday, July 30, 2022.

They were dressed in Old Hollywood-inspired attire and were at the top of their game. The Kapuso network’s first gala night is this eagerly anticipated event.

One of the guests, Sparkle artist Mariel Pamintuan, became well-known online after commenting on the food that was provided.

In a video, she claimed the food tasted like liver spread. Whether she was kidding or not, she received negative criticism online.

“Hello, may sinasabi po siya sa pagkain. Anong lasa ng pagkain? Lasang liver spread? Okay, sabi po nila, lasang silver spread daw yung pagkain namin,” she stated in the video.

The actress clarified her comments by saying that they were eating the appetizer when she made it. Braised duck leg terrine with apricot and pecan nuts, grain mustard cream, garden leaves, and chunky apple compote is offered as an appetizer.

Ogie Diaz responded to the situation by saying that similar instances are common at soirees and other parties in his most recent YouTube video.

Although he wasn’t present to determine, in his knowledge, incidents like this do occur, much like with the Star Magic Ball.

His words were, “Yang mga ganyang moment, normal ‘yan. Kahit sa Star Magic Ball, marami ring mga ganyang hanash.”
