The Rizal Police Provincial Office has identified two of the four bodies discovered inside an abandoned automobile in Rodriguez, Rizal on Monday.

According to Rizal PPO Public Information Officer Lt. Marisol Tactaquin, one of the deceased was identified as Robert Ryan Amarillo, 40, of Lucena City, Quezon Province, and the other as Carl Pabalan, 51, of Tayabas City, Quezon Province.

The identities of the two ladies accompanying them have yet to be determined.


The inquiry into the likely reason for the crime and the identity of the perpetrators continues.

The newly constituted Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) Macabud, commanded by Provincial Director of Police Colonel Dominic Baccay, who is also the interim SITG leader, had a command conference on Tuesday morning.

Baccay went to the location where the four bodies were located.

Baccay stated in a statement made by the Rizal PPO that the Rizal police will not cease “thoroughly” investigating the matter in order to resolve it quickly.

“Na-identify na natin ang dalawang biktima dahil na rin sa mabilis na aksyon at sa masigasig na pagtatrabaho ng ating mga kapulisan… sa patuloy na pakikipagtulungan ng ating mamamayan,” he stated. “I’m very positive na maso-solve natin ito sa mabilis na panahon.”

Baccay originally declined to offer more information and interviews in connection with the incident inquiry.
