Sen. Raffy Tulfo has been contacted by the family of Jovelyn Galleno for assistance in conducting a secondary DNA test on the bones that were discovered on Tuesday.

Jovelyn’s sister said in an interview with Raffy Tulfo in Action that just after her sister disappeared, local residents investigated the location but turned up no signs of a lifeless body until the remains were located on Monday, August 23.

She affirmed that the belongings, such as the bag that her sister was carrying when she disappeared, belonged to Jovelyn.

Jonalyn asked Sen. Raffy Tulfo’s help for a second deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) test to be sure the skeletal bones belong to Jovelyn.

Furthermore, a medicolegal officer also shared her opinion on the bones that were allegedly recovered recently in Palawan, which are believed to belong to the missing victim.

Doc. Eunice Herrera, a medicolegal officer in Puerto Princesa gave her viewpoint on the situation.

Given the weather and other circumstances, she claims that the process of bodily decomposition might be lengthy.

As of now, there are no reports or information about the results of the DNA test of the missing body found in Purok Pulang Lupa, Brgy. Sta. Lourdes, Puerto Princesa.
