Based on a social media post made on Friday, August 5 by movie star manager Annabelle Rama, award-winning figure actress Cherie Gil has passed away.

“CHERIE GIL JUST PASSED AWAY AT 5PM TODAY PLEASE PRAY FOR HER,” Rama said on Facebook.

Cherie Gil, named as Evangeline Rose Gil Eigenmann, is a Filipino actress. Because of her talent as an actress and her achievements to Philippine cinema, she is known as “La Primera Contravida.”
