When she marched proudly in the EDSA People Power Revolution in February 1986, at the age of eight, actress and host Giselle Tongi called the bashers “idiots.”

Many questioned and claimed that the inactive actress lied about 1986 People Power during the release of evidence on social media.

G Tongi joined the spread of an old article last Friday, July 8, in which it was mentioned that he was “15 years old” when he returned to the Philippines with his mother.

It is based on Ella Cruz’s controversial statement “History is like gossip,” to which Giselle also responded on Twitter last July 5.

It is related to Ella’s role as Irene Marcos in Darryl Yap’s film “Maid in Malacanang,” which depicts the Marcos family’s final three days at the Malacanang Palace before stepping down.

Ella describes history as “a chismis.” We don’t know what the true history is because it is filtered and added. Your idea is sound, but there are some flaws. as long as we’re alive. and have our own points of view. I respect everyone’s viewpoint.”

G mentioned that he marched with thousands of Filipinos on EDSA when he was only eight years old.

“@itsEllaCruz actors don’t need to justify the villainy of their roles,” G says.

“I would to share with you how at 8 years old in 1986, I marched to the streets, along with countless others who r part of a history you are dismissing as here say.

“Wag nak’! It feels like erasure. Di Tama!” she emphasized

Following this, netizens reacted to G’s comments, with one even posting a screenshot of an old article titled “Tongi waits in the wings.”

According to the article, “Giselle was born in France to a Swiss father and a Filipino mother.” She was raised in New York by her mother and moved to Manila with her when she was 15 years old. “

As a result, the actress was slammed so hard that she had to emote in defense of herself.

“Why are people so gullible? I was at People Power, when the Marcos authoritarian family was ousted out of power. I was a student in De La Salle Zobel at the time living in Paranaque.

“Just coz a prior article is wrong doesn’t discredit my experience. Mga tanga!” mariin pang bwelta ni G Tongi.”
