Gerald Anderson, who will soon be seen in the show “A Family Affair,” has stated that he is already thinking about marriage.

Julia Barretto, his girlfriend and fellow actor, recently appeared on an episode of “The Boy Abunda Talk Channel,” where the titular presenter asked her how she would respond to a hypothetical proposal by Gerald, and she said yes.

Gerald stated that everything he is doing right now is in preparation for marriage. “Mas malapit na ako doon.”

Gerald does not appear to be open to the concept of Julia proposing to him in his imagined circumstances.

“I believe that the guy should always propose, and the wedding day is all about your bride,” Gerald explained. “Kung ano ang gusto niya, kailangan niya, it’s all about her.”

Gerald admits that the new age is considerably more progressive, but he maintains that he prefers “old school” ways of proposing.

Jameson Blake, who plays one of Gerald’s siblings in “A Family Affair,” agrees with his co-star, who adds that the whole point of going down on one knee is to commit oneself to someone and demonstrate that they are the most important person in their lives.

For his part, Jameson says he hasn’t considered marriage yet—joking that he doesn’t even have a girlfriend—despite being frequently asked about it, and that he is focused on getting to where he is today.

Gerad and Jameson will appear in “A Family Affair” alongside Ivana Alawi, Sam Milby, and Jake Ejercito, which will air on the Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, TV5, and iWantTFC on June 27.
