FRANKLIN DRILON – The newly elected senators received a message from the incumbent senator.

Since 2017, Drilon has been as Senate minority leader. He has been in the Senate since 2010, his second term, having previously served from 1995 to 2007. He was President of the Senate three times: in 2000, 2001–2006, and 2013–2016.

During President Corazon Aquino’s administration, he also served as Secretary of Labor and Employment, Secretary of Justice, and Executive Secretary.

Drilon grew up in Iloilo City and attended the University of the Philippines to study law. Before entering the government, he finished third in the 1969 Bar Exams and worked as a private practice lawyer.

The general elections took held on May 9th.

With over 26 million votes, action actor Robin Padilla now leads the senate election.

Raffy Tulfo, an actor and broadcaster, is one of the Senate’s newcomers.

Sen. Frilon sent a message to the newly elected senators during an interview.

Here’s the complete interview with Drilon from One News:

Drilon recommends newly elected senators to study, listen, and observe their colleagues in the Senate. They should also keep an eye on their activities, he says, because they are continuously being watched by the public.

In the meanwhile, Loren Legarda, Sherwin Gatchalian, Chiz Escudero, Mark Villar, Alan Peter Cayetano, Juan Miguel Zubiri, Joel Villanueva, JV Estrada Ejercito, Risa Hontiveros, and Jinggoy Estrada are among those who entered the Magic 12 in the last senate election.

With the exception of Robin Padilla, the newly elected senators have yet to respond to Drilon’s comments.
