‘There is No Excuse,’ says Korean Actress Kim Sae-Ron Concerning Drunk Driving

Kim Sae-ron, a Korean actress, has acknowledged to driving while intoxicated in Seoul, causing property damage and causing discomfort to others.

At 8 a.m. Kim Sae-ron collided into a transformer on May 18 while driving in Cheongdam, Gangnam,Seoul. She drove away after the event, but was apprehended by cops.

The broken transformer triggered a power outage in the neighborhood, which lasted several hours until an electric firm was able to replace it.

On the evening of May 19, Kim Sae-ron uploaded a handwritten letter of admission and apologies to Instagram.

“I’m sorry to inform you of my position late after organizing the accident and damage situation first,” she said.

“I had an accident that damaged public property in Gangnam around 8 a.m. yesterday, May 18.“ the 21-year-old star of “The Great Shaman Ga Doo-shim” and “A Man from Nowhere” said.

“At the time, I had made a major mistake while under the influence of alcohol. With my wrong judgment and actions, I have caused damage to so many people, including merchants in the surrounding shopping malls, citizens, and restoration workers” she stated.

“I should have acted more cautiously and responsibly, but I couldn’t. I sincerely apologize. The damage caused by the accident is being dealt with the company, and we will do our best to communicate and actively resolve the matter until the end.” She added

“Also, I am very sorry to my fellow actors and staff, as well as the production team, for the disruption to the production of the work being filmed and the work being prepared. Once again, I deeply apologize and apologize for any inconvenience caused,” she said.

She quit the SBS drama “Trolley” after the drunk driving incident, completed the film “Everyday We Are,” and is presently filming the Netflix series “Bloodhounds.”

“There is no excuse for this unfortunate incident, and I am disappointed and so ashamed of myself for the wrongs I have committed. I will reflect deeply so that this does not happen again. I am sorry,” she said.

Kim Sae-ron was requested to undergo a breathalyzer test by the police, but she declined and was brought to a neighboring hospital for a blood alcohol test.

Following the blood sample, the police plan to request that Korea’s National Forensic Service check Kim Sae-blood ron’s alcohol level, with findings due in a few days.
