Doc Willie Ong, Aksyon Demokratiko’s vice presidential candidate, claimed that he had suffered a slight injury. Doc Willie Ong stated that he was going to descend from the flatbed truck that they were using when he lost his balance. To brace himself against the fall, the doctor supported his left hand, causing a slight injury. The Doctor also stated that he was unable to estimate the speed of the float and was too hesitant to suggest that the driver slow down.

“Bababa kasi ako e hindi ko natantiya yung bilis. Nahiya kasi ako magsabi sa driver na bagalan,” he said.

Doc Willie claimed he had a muscular strain in his left forearm. The doctor said that he had lost his balance as he was about to exit the float.
Doc Willie admitted that he was too afraid to warn the driver to slow down because he would be alighting, which caused the collision. His lips ‘re okay, he remarked, but his left arm was swelled.

Doc Willie Ong’s wife, Doc Liza, and three more of their attendants were also thrown inside the float, although they were unharmed.
