Another rising tourist spot in Sipalay is the blissful hidden lagoon popularly known as “Tinagong Dagat” which means in different way of interpretation as the “hidden hills.”

Considered the top view of the place, the beautiful blend of the denim blue and seafoam green sea is riddled with green islets became the principal magnet of domestic and foreign visitors. Tinagong Dagat is a beach resort sitting on a shallow green sea with scattered tiny islands.

One thing that excites visitors in the place is the inimitable experience of passing over 150 meters long bamboo hanging bridge that connects the tiny island to the extension of Latasan or Tinagong Dagat.

The place has no need of the drone to capture the beauty of the place as you can simply record it with its panoramic view from a viewing deck itself from the top of the limestone hill side of the resort. But of course, you have to pay it with the wetness of your sweats for climbing 123 steps to reach the highest spot. It could be tiring but you will be rewarded with splendor that heaven-like experience. Once you get there, you will also charmed by overlooking the nearby resort, the Perth Paradise.

For the visitors who love adventure to visit the tiny islets around, boats are available for island hopping for P1,700 per boat which is good for 4-6 persons capacity.

Tinagong Dagat also offers overnight stay with their air-conditioned rooms with amenities such as Cable TV, cold and hot shower and the free use of the pool. Don’t worry if you get hunger, their store and canteen is always ready for your hunger need inside the resort and if you wish to bring your own food just simply pay the corkage fee of P100.

Fees and other Charges:

For the entrance fee, it’s very affordable, P30.00 pesos per head and for some other amenities to avail, rate ranges the following:

  • 4 person at a maximum of 9 pax for only P1,650
  • 4 person at a maximum of 7 pax for only P1,350
  • 4 person at a maximum of 5 pax for only P1,250
  • Additional P200 per head in excess of 4

How to get there?

If you’re from Bacolod City, you can choose to take the Ceres Bus bound to Sipalay for approximately 5 hours travel time or another option if you missed the direct trip to Sipalay, take the bus bound to Hinobaan and drop Siplay town proper.

From there, take a tricycle to bring you to Tinagong Dagat for P300.00 per trip good for 3 persons for one way and get off near the gate of the resort. Prepare for the entrance fee mention above and walk inside. And for your convenient when you get back home, simply get the number of the driver for you to contact for pick up.
